Siblings :)

For 7 years I was an only child
Life was good but lonely.
I was devoid of the joy of sibling love
A brother or sister? If only!

Life was good, I can't complain
But something was missing, you see
Until June 15th 2001
When a baby brother came to me.

I was the happiest girl in all the world,
My wishes had come true,
I had a sibling who was my own,
I loved him through and through.

Despite the arguments as we grew up
Every second with him was bliss,
Things could get no better we thought,
Until we met baby sis!

25th October 2006
Came a beautiful baby girl
With sparkly blue eyes and thick dark hair
She threw us all into a whirl

And yet there she was, the final member
Of a sibling crew so strong
We needed nobody else- complete we were
Although the wait was long

And though we fight as siblings will
We know we'll always have each other
And I count my blessings every day
For my sister and my brother.
